"Geneva is not just a dull and expensive city," says Alex Vugman, recently graduated in management and founder of the Association Free Walk Geneva.

The goal of this association is to show that Geneva has a lot to offer. It proposes free tours to discover a unique facet of the city, 365 days per year. Around twenty volunteer guides who are passionate about history share their vision of the city: a vision of Geneva from its people.

What you will see

For two years now, Free Walk Geneva offers two guided tours approximately two hours long every day. The first is in the Old City at 11 am. The meeting point is at the Clock Tower at Place Bel-Air. Participants see the most important places in the Old City, such as Reformation Wall, St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Flower Clock (newly redesigned) and the Jet d'Eau, of course.

The second tour is of International Geneva and occurs every day at 2 pm. The meeting point is in front of the Broken Chair, Place des Nations. Tourists get to see the United Nations HQ, the World Health Organization, UN High Commissioner for Refugees and much more.

The tours are offered in many languages: mostly in English, but also in Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Portuguese and Swiss-German.

Free Walk Geneva also proposes private tours. They can be personalized according to different variables, such as time, route, group size.

So, feel free to walk through and take new look at your city. You will be thrilled to discover the beauty of the City of Calvin.
