Chopard : Cinema & Royalty

The luxury jewelry company Chopard is far from new on big screen. The Geneva based company has a history in participating in many international films and film events, including major Hollywood films and even the Cannes film festival, as an official Partner. On the red carpet, where fame and glory reign, Hollywood stars show off their exquisite jewelry from top luxury brands. Chopard’s dazzling gems have made their appearance for years now, thanks to the uniqueness and innovation of the company’s timeless design.

Chopard certainly does not hide it’s love of the silver screen. Films such as Elizabeth the Golden Age, Nine and Midnight in Paris have famously featured the Swiss compay’s creations. It therefore comes as no surprise that the company received an offer to work on the film Diana, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, where Naomi Watts plays the role of princess of the glamorous princess of  Wales.

Chopard provided real insight into Diana’s jewelry collection, which elegantly mirrored her style. Included where a three-strand diamond necklace and diamond oval shaped earrings, chosen to match the beauty Lady Diana’s engagement ring. An armor - like plastron necklace in white gold, with three rows of 92 diamonds, was worn by Naomi Watts in a red carpet scene, and grey pearl earrings will also be seen in the coming film. Chopard’s Happy  - diamonds watch is also featured with matching earrings .

Arguably one of the most anticipated films of this year, we now have even more reason to see Naomi Watts incarnate the beloved Princess of Wales, as she will be sparkling with the elegant unique pieces of Chopard’s jewelry.

The premiere of  Diana premieres in Geneva on Monday, October 21^st at Pathe Balexert, and will appear in other cinemas on October 23^rd .
