Viktoriia Derkach is not just a fashion entrepreneur—she is a mother, a Ukrainian, and a Geneva-based visionary who has managed to weave personal values into every fibre of her brand. When she founded Nuage Cashmere, it was not just to create beautiful garments. It was a response to fast fashion, and a mission to create something meaningful—both for her customers and her homeland.

“I wanted to build a brand that reflects what really matters—quality, responsibility, and timelessness,” says Viktoriia Derkach. The idea was sparked when she noticed her teenage daughter buying cheap clothing that would barely survive a few washes. Viktoriia wanted to offer something different: a sustainable alternative that felt luxurious but could last for years.

By sourcing the finest Italian yarns and combining them with minimalist, versatile designs, she created Nuage Cashmere—a brand that prioritizes slow fashion without compromising on elegance. The name “Nuage Cashmere,” meaning “cloud” in French, captures the essence of softness and comfort that defines the collection.

But Nuage Cashmere is about more than aesthetics. When war broke out in Ukraine, Viktoriia felt an even stronger urge to make a difference. While her premium cashmere comes from Italy, all Nuage Cashmere garments are produced in Ukraine. “I knew I couldn’t help everyone, but I could provide jobs. I could support Ukrainian women and craftsmen by keeping production at home,” she explains.

This decision turned the brand into a symbol of resilience. Every sweater, cardigan, or scarf tells two stories: one of European craftsmanship, and one of quiet strength from a country facing adversity.

Since launching, Nuage Cashmere has steadily grown its presence in Switzerland. The brand is now available in boutiques across Geneva, Montreux, and Lugano, proving that Swiss consumers are eager for fashion that combines purpose with premium quality.

“Our clients appreciate knowing where and how their clothes are made. They connect not only with the product but with the story behind it,” Viktoriia says. The garments are designed to be wearable, elegant, and meaningful—offering an antidote to disposable trends.

What sets Nuage Cashmere apart is not just its exceptional fabric or modern cuts—it’s the philosophy behind every piece. This is a brand for those who want to dress consciously, support ethical production, and wear something that lasts in more ways than one.

In a world full of fleeting trends, Nuage Cashmere is creating something lasting—fashion with soul, made between two countries, and rooted in strength, softness, and solidarity.
