Swiss International Airlines (SWISS) continues to go ahead with its expansion program at Geneva airport which will see the company’s offering enlarged to 24 destinations. The Geneva-based network will be served by a dedicated fleet of nine aircraft.
The network expansion has been carefully developed to suit the specific needs of customers in Western Switzerland. In order to further align itself with the specific needs of customers in the region, SWISS will not only be offering a broader range of destinations but will also be offering “Geneva Economy Flex” and “Geneva Economy Light” fares. The new fares are bookable with immediate effect on all routes served through the Geneva base.
New Jobs
The expansion of the Geneva base also brings welcome news to the local job market. In order to further strengthen its presence and profile in the region, SWISS have recruited additional business development, marketing and communications personnel, as well as further creating a new cabin crew base. “Our training of these new crew members will begin in October and our operations in Geneva will be supported from Zurich until the base is up to full strength,” commented SWISS Chief Operating Officer Rainer Hitebrand.
